Lab Instructor - Ultrasound & Vascular Tech

Location: Baker College of Auburn Hills
Compensation: Hourly rate based on education, experience, and existing wage rates for similar positions within Baker College Professional Services, Inc.

Reports To: Program Directors
Work Schedule: Up to 28 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, some evenings and weekends may be required

Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of LAB INSTRUCTOR – GENERAL ULTRASOUND AND VASCULAR ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGY (PART-TIME) for the benefit of and to be located at Baker College of Auburn Hills.

General Statement of Duties:

To facilitate student achievement in the laboratory-learning environment by providing program-specific expertise and instruction under the direct supervision of the Program Director.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university in related field required; Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in related field preferred
  • RDMS, RVT or RVS, or dual certification required
  • Teaching experience at college level preferred
  • Three years’ work experience in the related field preferred
  • Must be knowledgeable in program/discipline specific technologies
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to lift and maneuver independently up to 25 lbs

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Student Success: provide instruction and assistance to students during their laboratory experience in accordance with curriculum requirements, assure that students meet all skill/performance outcomes in accordance with curriculum requirements, and assist Program Director with student files, surveys, schedules, and required hours.
  • Laboratory Management: oversee the organization of the laboratory, ensure safe procedures in laboratory, and attend safety-training sessions as assigned
  • Continuous Improvement: participate in relevant campus and system meetings in addition to all staff and faculty professional development events.
  • Other duties as assigned
