Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of Learning Support Services Specialist for the benefit of and to be located at Baker College of Cadillac.
General Statement of Duties:
The Learning Support Services Specialist is responsible for regular services provided within the ARC. This position also assists with general services and operations of the circulation desk.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in related field required
Experience in higher education providing support to students in a learning environment
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer services
Ability to work with individuals with diverse backgrounds and various educational experiences
Excellent writing and verbal skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in overseeing the operations of the Academic Resource Center desk
Proctor waiver test
Serve as a reader to students with accommodations
Assist with reporting tutoring data
Answer general reference and information questions, referring more complex inquiries to immediate supervisor
Assists in training and supervising Work-study students
Assist students with career advising/ACE assignments
Other duties as assigned
