Baker College and The Tom Sumner Program are partnering to bring all candidates running for Governor of Michigan to Flint for debate-style forums held at Baker on three consecutive days.
Candidates will face questions from a panel of pundits/journalists including Paul Rozycki from Mott Community College and Gary C. Ridley from M-Live/The Flint Journal. Reporter/Producer Steve Carmody joins the panel on Monday, East Village Magazine Editor Jan Worth-Nelson will participate Tuesday and former Detroit Free Press Lansing Bureau Chief Chris Christoff rounds out the panel on Wednesday. Between questions from the panel, candidates will have an opportunity to ask a question.
The forums will be streamed LIVE at www.tomsumnerprogram.com and re-broadcast on WFOV 92.1 FM in Flint. The public is invited and other media may participate.
Independent and Third Party candidates will include: Libertarians Bil Gelineau and John Tatar, Kevin Hogan Graves from the Green Party and Independent Todd Schlieger.
Democratic candidates will include: Bill Cobbs, Abdul El Sayed, Shri Thanedar and Gretchen Whitmer.
Republican candidates will include: Brian Calley, Patrick Colbeck, Jim Hines and Evan Space.
