Baker College celebrates Pride Month by partnering with several organizations and events throughout Michigan, as part of its commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community engagement. In addition to campus events, participation in several Pride Month activities showcases the college’s support for the LGBTQ+ community, helps promote awareness, and builds on the effort to foster an inclusive environment across campuses and surrounding areas.
There are strides being made to advance initiatives to support LGBTQ+ students, faculty, and staff—ensuring everyone feels valued and respected. “Baker College acknowledges that our students are whole people, coming to us with many different identities and priorities. We believe these differences are what make us all stronger together, so we prioritize not only recognizing, but supporting groups that celebrate all the ways we are beautifully diverse,” said Voula Erfourth, Vice President for Student Success & Engagement and Dean of Students.
