Prepare for a career in culinary arts with our associate degree program.

Let your passion for cooking grow into a rewarding, fulfilling career. You don’t even need to spend four years in school to make it happen.

Our Associate degree program in culinary arts is designed to give you a well-rounded understanding all aspects of professional food service operations. With a combination of classroom studies, hands-on learning, and internship experience, you’ll develop your cooking skills and learn about other aspects of restaurant operations, such as management, table service, and menu planning.

This program is offered through the Culinary Institute of Michigan, located in Port Huron and Muskegon. Both locations have state-of-the-art facilities specifically designed to meet the needs of culinary students and are equipped with the same tools professionals work with on the job.

We’re committed to keeping class sizes small, so don’t worry about feeling lost in the crowd. You’ll get plenty of personalized attention from your instructors, who are all highly experienced culinary professionals.

After completing this program, you’ll be prepared to take your certification exam so you can get out there and start making a difference in your career.

This program is offered in-person on our campuses in Muskegon and Port Huron. In Michigan our students come from Ann Arbor, Auburn Hills, Cadillac, Dearborn, Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, Jackson, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Muskegon, Owosso, Traverse City, and many other locations. Beyond Michigan, our online graduates hail from Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and other states.
