Any nurse will tell you it can be a tough and demanding job, but they will also tell you it’s one of the most rewarding careers you can choose. This is because on a daily basis you’re helping people who need it the most. As a nurse, you’ll be both a caregiver and a problem solver, someone who helps heal people in mind, body and spirit. Compassion is critical, but you’ll also need a strong aptitude for science and critical thinking to properly treat patients.

The College of Nursing (CON) offers three tracks towards the BSN degree. One track is designed for first-time college students seeking a career as a professional nurse (traditional track). The second track is for students who hold a bachelor’s degree but now wish to seek a degree in nursing (accelerated track). The third track is for the experienced nurse seeking to obtain their baccalaureate degree (RN to BSN track).

Program requirements include the following:

  • Unencumbered license as a registered nurse (RN) in the United States (US), District of Columbia or US territories, an unencumbered license as a RN in Canada or an active ADN student in a nursing program affiliated with Baker College.
