- Students in the Hemodialysis Technician program are well prepared for their career, as they have opportunity to learn in the classroom and a state-of-the-art laboratory setting. Our relationship with area vascular surgeons and dialysis corporations provide students with excellent opportunities for clinical experience. Baker College Flint is one of eleven BONENT approved Hemodialyisis programs in the nation, the only BONENT approved program in Michigan. This status allows students the opportunity to verify their knowledge through a nationally accepted exam to become a Certified Hemodialysis Technician.
- Program Description
- This program prepares the Hemodialysis Patient Care Technician student to provide direct dialysis patient care duties assisting with provision of treatment and documentation, under the supervision of an RN. The technician is responsible to assess the patient's vital signs and weight and to report any abnormalities to the RN.
