As a student in our information systems with a concentration on information assurance degree program, you’ll gain an understanding of the wide range of skills it takes to work with information systems and keep data secure.
Information systems professional is one of the fastest-growing careers. Our information assurance degree is designed to integrate general business and management knowledge with expertise in computer information systems (including programming, databases, web, project management, networking, and security) to produce the knowledge and skills necessary for employment in a competitive job market.
Information systems professionals leverage the technology and tools to efficiently and effectively solve business problems, manage operations and infrastructure, interact with suppliers and customers, and drive revenue and performance. Graduates can continue their education with a Master of Science in Information Systems degree.
The Baker College Bachelor of Science in Information Systems with concentration in Assurance Specialist program is a 4-year, 120 credit hours program. The program includes 30 hours in general education, 72 hours in the information systems major, and 18 hours in the assurance specialist concentration. Program courses include multiple programming languages, system modeling and design, business analytics, securing systems, as well as a senior project and a 150-hour work experience course.
