Student Life Leadership Council
The Baker College Student Life Leadership Council (SLLC) is an opportunity for students to develop their personal and professional leadership through campus and community involvement. As part of the SLLC, students will collaborate with others to elevate their skills through training, professional development, social networking, and service.
As a member of the SLLC, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Plan and lead campus events.
- Showcase events via Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Partner with student clubs and organizations.
- Work with campus and community leaders.
- Promote wellness throughout the campus.
SLLC membership benefits include:
- Receiving the Student Life Leadership Council Scholarship, worth up to $2,300/semester (equal to the cost of housing).
- Attending leadership training sessions designed specifically for council members.
- Building your resume through leadership, volunteerism, and promoting community spirit.
- Connecting with your peers and fellow students.
You can apply by completing the online application. Applications for the 2023-24 academic year should be submitted no later than June 30, 2023. Note: SLLC eligibility is limited to prospective and returning housing students.

Student Ambassador Program
The Student Ambassador Program offers students an opportunity to represent and promote Baker College to prospective students and their families. Ambassadors assist with various on and off-campus Enrollment Management events, including open houses, freshman kickoff, and college fairs. They also conduct campus tours for prospective students and support the College’s social media efforts.
Student Ambassadors commit to working 40 hours each semester. In addition to receiving free Baker swag and a service sash or cord for graduation, ambassadors also receive a $500 Bronze Scholarship each semester.
