Why Earn a Business Marketing Degree?

Marketers provide the link between businesses that have goods and services to sell and customers who want to purchase them. The marketing process involves a variety of activities, including research, strategic planning, product development, sales management and marketing communications.

Students in the business and marketing degree participate in active learning and demonstrate an understanding of basic business principles using case studies, business simulations, computer technology, spreadsheets, written reports, problem analysis, professional presentations, ethical values, a global perspective and human relations skills through individual and team activities in class and in business situations.

This marketing degree online offers a solid background in the concepts of marketing and business. By the time you complete the bachelor's degree in marketing, you’ll have the skills and education it takes to gain employment in entry-level marketing positions at advertising and marketing agencies or in-house marketing departments. Since many companies have in-house marketing departments, you could potentially work with businesses in a wide variety of exciting industries. Many of our marketing degree graduates go on to start careers in marketing management, personal selling, promotional strategy, retail merchandising, market research and sales management, or continue their business education with a Master's of Business Administration.
