Frequently Asked Questions
Most undergraduate and graduate programs are eligible for the discount. See the full list of programs here.
Programs that are already offered at a reduced tuition rate (Nursing RN to BSN, Nursing RN to MSN, and Master of Science Information Systems) and all Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning programs are not eligible for this discount.
Eligibility is determined upon initial enrollment to Baker College, reentry to the college if the student has not attended for one full year, or transition from undergraduate to graduate enrollment.
Students who are already enrolled are not eligible to receive this scholarship.
Students must be seeking a certificate or degree program with Baker College.
Students must maintain active enrollment (if they do not attend for three consecutive semesters, the scholarship will no longer be awarded).
Both part time and full time McLaren Oakland employees are eligible for reduced tuition.
Students receiving this scholarship are not eligible for other Baker College scholarships, grants or discounts. However, students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA to determine if they qualify for other forms of financial aid and/or student loans.
Baker College defines immediate family members as parents, children, spouses, and siblings.
Students or their family members will be required to provide proof of employment with McLaren Oakland. This may be accomplished by providing a copy of their employer identification card, pay stub, letter from their employer, or other documentation available.
Annual verification may be required.
Part time employees are also eligible to participate.
The reduction credits 20% or 25% of your total tuition charges directly to your student account each semester. The credit applies to tuition charges only; it does not apply to fees, books or housing charges.
Please note: This credit is an institutional award. Total financial aid awards, including federal, state, and institutional funding, cannot exceed the student’s total cost of attendance.
