ROYAL OAK, MI — Baker College is bringing back the buzz at the Michigan Lottery Arts, Beats & Eats presented by Flagstar Bank, continuing its partnership with the annual Royal Oak festival while expanding its support of an important community initiative: Family Days for Children with Autism.

As title sponsor of Family Days for Children with Autism, Baker College will help provide a free festival experience for children with autism and their family members Saturday and Sunday morning. The program begins at 10 a.m. and provides participating families with free carnival rides, lunch, and parking, with capacity for up to 2,500 attendees. Baker College students and employees can also enjoy Baker Day, receiving free festival entry from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., either Saturday or Sunday, by presenting a valid Baker College ID at the designated festival entrance. Families interested in participating can find additional information through the Arts, Beats & Eats event website and the organizations supporting the program.

The Family Days program is promoted in partnership with the Judson Center and the Ted Lindsey Foundation HOPE Center, helping connect families with an inclusive experience designed to make it easier for children with autism and their families to enjoy the festival together.

“At Baker College, putting students and communities first means creating opportunities for people to feel welcomed, supported, and connected,” said Kelley Suggs, Public Relations Manager. “We are excited to continue our partnership with Arts, Beats & Eats and especially proud to support Family Days for Children with Autism. This is a meaningful opportunity to help families experience the joy of this incredible community event together.”

As Baker College celebrates 115 years of shaping futures, Baker continues to look for opportunities to build meaningful connections with the communities it serves. With career-focused programs spanning health sciences, nursing, technology, business, education, skilled trades and more, Baker prepares students to meet the evolving needs of Michigan’s communities and workforce. Through its partnerships and community involvement, Baker continues to build connections that extend beyond the classroom and make a positive impact across the state.

“Arts, Beats & Eats brings people together, and that’s something worth celebrating,” Suggs said. “We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of an event that celebrates community while also creating space for families who might not otherwise have the same opportunity to participate.”

The Michigan Lottery Arts, Beats & Eats presented by Flagstar Bank is an annual Labor Day weekend festival in Royal Oak, Michigan, celebrating the best in art, music, food and community. The festival brings together artists, musicians, restaurants, sponsors, and nonprofit organizations for a four-day celebration that attracts hundreds of thousands of attendees from throughout Michigan and beyond. In addition to entertainment and food, Arts, Beats & Eats supports charitable organizations and community initiatives, helping make a positive impact throughout the region.

Baker College is an independent, private, non-profit institution that grants associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees on six campuses across Michigan and online. Founded in 1911, the institution’s mission is to provide an inclusive, innovative, and transformative educational experience, driven by a student-first philosophy.
