Over 20 girls in sixth through eighth grade gathered at the Baker College of Cadillac campus for an all-expenses-paid two-day STEM Camp for Girls. The purpose of this camp is to provide girls with inspiring and memorable learning experiences that support their pursuit of STEM-related careers in the future.
“Here at Baker College we are trying to promote challenging and rewarding careers so as far as STEM Camp goes, we are exactly on pace to do that,” said Kristin Parkes, Director of Education at Baker College.
“They teach me stuff I don’t know already, and I think that will get me like a step ahead of the stuff I need to learn to become a doctor, they teach me a lot of fun stuff, it’s not just learning, it’s fun and inspirational,” said camper Ameriah Durst.
The camp is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Women’s Giving Circle of Cadillac.
