Muskegon, MI – Baker College announces its sponsorship for the “Adventure for Everyone” Open House at Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park (462 Scenic Drive, Muskegon, MI 49445), Tuesday, February 4. This free, family-friendly event invites individuals of all abilities to experience adaptive winter sports, including ice skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and luge.
The event runs from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., allowing attendees to drop in at their convenience. Featuring adaptive equipment and expert assistance, it’s a unique opportunity to make winter recreation accessible to all. Baker College encourages community members to join in and celebrate the spirit of inclusion while trying out these exciting activities. It’s free, but an RSVP is required for activity participation.
“Events like ‘Adventure for Everyone’ perfectly align with the core values of our Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Baker College,” said Cassie Kregger, Program Director of the OTA Program. “This event provides our students with a unique opportunity to witness how adapted recreation inspires independence and fosters inclusivity by removing barriers for individuals. By partnering with Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park, we not only support our community but also create meaningful experiences that help our students build empathy and a deeper understanding of the diverse needs of the people they will serve. Together, we bring these values to life and demonstrate how adaptive activities can transform lives.”
