Dr. Richard Bush, Dean of the College of Information Technology at Baker College, kicked off the holiday season in Andhra Pradesh, India with a series of speaking engagements spanning the topics of technology, Big Data, and industry expectations for the next generation of IT professionals.
During his short, seven days stay in India, Bush gave the keynote presentation at the Fourth International CIBDA Conference, delivered lectures to students at four local universities, spoke at the International Small Business Seminar, addressed attendees at the Transforming Education Conference for Humans (TECH) 2017, and still had an hour or two left over to visit the Taj Mahal.
Bush noted the humility that citizens have towards higher education in the region and their belief in its ability to empower individuals to improve their communities.
“They are quite humbled by the fact that they get into a college because it’s such a difficult thing to do and they are extremely respectful,” he said. “They make the most out everything that they have. They don’t make excuses; they make successes happen.”
The International Small Business Conference and the TECH 2017 Conference are interested in hosting Baker College faculty for their upcoming 2018 conferences.
