Many people struggle with the decision whether or not to pursue a higher education and Bart Daig, president of Baker College, is no exception. As a student at Central Michigan University, he doubted whether or not staying in college was really worthwhile. But when his parents encouraged him to stay in school, he listened and now he’s encouraging students everywhere to stick with it, too.
In a recent interview with the Detroit Free Press, Daig talked about how he went from being on the verge of dropping out of college to becoming president of Baker College. He also discussed the future of Baker College, the challenges in running an academic institution, and why it’s so important for students to stay in school and not give up on college.
