Members of the Cyber Defense Club at Baker College of Flint spent the weekend diagnosing and repairing computers.
On Jan 12 and 13, from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, approximately 20 students from Baker College’s awarding winning Cyber Defense Club accepted laptops and desktops from the community for repair. Students were able to help with everything from slow running machines and hidden viruses to mechanical and power issues.
Baker College’s Cyber Defense Teams have won seven state championships and two national championships since 2008 and never shy away from a test.
“Any kind of computer problems, give us a challenge,” said Doug Witten, Program Director of Cyber Defense.
This annual event is always free for the community, however, students were happy to accept donations on behalf of the club.
