Baker College Dean of Students, Dr. Voula Erfourth
Baker College recently announced the appointment of Dr. Voula Erfourth as the inaugural Dean of Students at Baker College. Dr. Erfourth has been with Baker for 20 years serving in several leadership positions, including Campus Director of Baker College of Owosso and Director of Academic Affairs.
The Dean of Students is the cornerstone of student affairs and signals a change towards the Student First philosophy at Baker College. Dean Erfourth will serve as a liaison between students, families, faculty, staff, and community members, represent the student voice at all levels of the institution, expand the knowledge and depth of student affairs at the College, and work to develop and update student-friendly policies.
In her new role, Dean Erfourth will also co-chair the newly formed CARE Team and oversee the Directors of Student Affairs. She will begin in her new role on May 1, 2023.
Dr. Erfourth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Michigan State University. She also earned a secondary teaching certificate in English and Speech from Eastern Michigan University, and a Master of Liberal Arts degree in American Culture from the University of Michigan-Flint before completing her doctoral studies in higher adult and lifelong education from Michigan State University.
