We are pleased to announce that the Baker College Scholarship Committee has selected Seungmin Lee from Novi High School, Novi; Isaac Kantola from Ravenna High School, Ravenna; Makylee Givens from DaVinci Institute, Jackson; Lyndsay Myers from Bay City Western, Auburn; and Olivia Makarewicz from Oxford High School, Oxford; as 2022-23 Presidential Scholarship winners.
The Presidential Scholarship covers 100% of students’ tuition charges and is renewable for three additional years by maintaining a minimum 3.5 GPA, full-time enrollment, and good campus citizenship. Over the course of four years at Baker College, each student may receive a total of $55,000 in scholarship dollars.
Each year Baker College selects up to five graduating high school seniors to receive the scholarship, however, this is the first year in which five students have been awarded.
“I am incredibly proud of the recipients of the 2022-2023 Baker College Presidential Scholarship,’ said Dr. Jill Langen, Provost. “Each of these students has displayed a strong commitment to their academic studies and worked hard to achieve the grade point necessary to qualify for this prestigious full-ride scholarship. To have five individuals who have met the academic standards required for this scholarship is so impressive. I wish each of the recipients the best of luck as they begin their studies at BC, and am confident they will excel as one of the BakerProud.”
Baker College and the Scholarship Committee congratulate these students on this high honor and are excited to welcome them as Baker College students!
