MAT2 Going Pro Apprenticeship Readiness students received their certificates of completion Wednesday, August 8th at the Baker College campus in Cadillac. The students all successfully completed eight credits of course material in the MAT2 mechatronics apprenticeship program and have been on work assignments at industries around West Michigan before returning for fall classes August 27th.
The students’ tuition, housing, a weekly stipend of $200 a week, and books and materials — including a computer and welding supplies — were all paid for by a $172,000 grant from Michigan’s Talent Investment Agency.
