19-year-old Taylor Snider has participated in Baker College’s Early Middle College (EMC) program, a five-year high school program designed to allow a student to earn a high school diploma and college credit through an additional, fifth year of study — at no cost to the student or parent.
Baker College of Owosso partners with the Shiawassee Regional Education Service District (RESD), along with 14 other early/middle college programs throughout the state, to offer the state-created program to high school students across the county.
Snider has saved $12,000 in tuition dollars and will begin working towards her bachelor’s degree in business administration at Baker College this fall.
