Glen Oaks Community College RN to Baker College BSN Grant

Glen Oaks Community College alumni who hold an ADN degree and an unencumbered RN license are eligible to attend Baker College for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing under a special state grant that delivers a zero-cost tuition pathway.

  • Students can attend BSN nursing courses full-time or part-time
  • Full-time students can complete the BSN program in as little as three terms
  • Part-time students can complete the BSN program in six terms
  • This grant covers tuition, books, fees and all applicable courses, including any additional general education credits needed

Students will learn in-demand nursing and leadership skills from experienced Baker College faculty in a flexible, fully online learning environment, and enhance their expertise by building on core knowledge previously developed at Glen Oaks Community College.

  • Session 2: NUR 4750: Nursing Pathophysiology

TERM 3

  • Session 1: NUR 4450: Community Health Nursing – Professional Liability Insurance required
  • Session 2: NUR 4510: Healthcare Quality and Safety

TERM 4

  • Session 1: NUR 3510: Information Management in Healthcare
  • Session 2: Nursing Elective

TERM 5

  • Session 1: NUR 4550: Nursing Leadership and Management
  • Session 2: NUR 4850: Nursing Seminar – Professional Liability Insurance required

Important things to know:

  • Statistics is required. If you do not have this to transfer in, you will take it co-currently with NUR 3050 in Term 1 Session 1.
  • You are required to have an additional 9 credits of general education courses to fulfill the Bachelor degree requirements. Recommended:
    • Term 1 Session 1: MTH2750: Statistical Methods
    • Term 4 Session 1: HUM 3910: Integrated Seminar
    • Term 5 Session 2: SOC 3050: Personal, Civic, and Global Perspectives
