Master of Business Administration

Mission of College of Business: The mission of the College of Business is to build a seamless bridge from education to a meaningful career through engaging and challenging learning experiences.

Intended Student Learning Outcomes of College of Business

By the end of the program, students will:

  1. Applying critical thinking skills for problem solving and decision making.
  2. Engage in a collaborative environment to produce desired outcomes.
  3. Deliver effective and professional oral and written communications using a variety of delivery venues.
  4. Understand and apply the disciplinary knowledge, theories, and competencies associated to core business functions and selected program of study.
  5. Apply data analytical tools to business problem solving and decision making.
  6. Assess, develop, and support strategic plans.
  7. Recognize and apply legal, ethical, cultural, and economic standards of business within a global environment.
  8. Utilize research in business problem solving.
  9. Evaluate and apply leadership strategies in business environments.

Intended Student Learning Outcomes of Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program

By the end of the program, students will:

  1. Apply critical thinking skills to solve complex business problems and make decisions
  2. Solve problems in a collaborative work environment incorporating diverse perspectives.
  3. Communicate using advanced oral and written communication skills necessary for success in the business environment.
  4. Analyze the impacts of core concepts, theories and practices within business functions in an integrated manner and apply to business problem solving and decision making.
  5. Collect, analyze and interpret complex data using quantitative and qualitative tools to support business decision making.
  6. Analyze the strategic planning process, and develop and assess strategic plans.
  7. Evaluate the legal, ethical, social, economic, cultural, and global environments of business.
  8. Integrate research in complex business problem solving.
  9. Evaluate and apply leadership strategies in complex business environments.

Broad-Based Operational Goals of College of Business

By the end of the program, students will:

  1. The College of Business will offer significant project-based and active learning opportunities for students.
  2. The College of Business will offer highly effective programs and delivery systems degrees that prepare students to be career ready.
  3. The College of Business will provide students the opportunity to advance critical thinking skills and the use of technology.
  4. The College of Business will attract and retain career-oriented faculty who are experts in their field.
