Program Highlights

Enhance your skills in effective leadership, collaborative practice, and organizational improvement with a degree in Educational Leadership.

Society needs transformational educational leaders whose desire for education quality and equity corresponds with the knowledge of learning and development, the organizational management skills to translate visionary ideas into practical success, and a firm grasp of the role of context and politics in shaping leadership. Our Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership program prepares professionals for collaborative leadership approaches in an advancing and rapidly changing field.

  • Students in this program study critical analysis of issues in education, leadership theory, and leadership as reflective practice, which will culminate in a professional dissertation or capstone project.
  • The Doctoral Capstone Pathway is a great fit for those currently in the K-12 setting looking to conduct action research typically in an area that needs to be improved. Students will identify an area of improvement, design the program or process to initiate the improvement, and then evaluate the results. The pathway includes a formal presentation of the action research and results.
  • The Dissertation Pathway is a great fit for industry professionals who would like to contribute to the field of research in education and may have aspirations of working in higher education.  Students will complete a traditional five-chapter research document that includes the use of qualitative or quantitative research methods to address a societal issue in education.
  • Our EdD in Educational Leadership program is designed with guidance from educational professionals and is constantly updated to align with leadership and educational standards.
  • This program is supported by strong mentors who guide the development and maturity of the research and is standardized with a dissertation or capstone project template so students can focus on research and analysis.
