This accelerated bachelors to masters program allows students to complete dual degrees in 5 years (a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master’s in Industrial Organizational Psychology). Skill development will include an emphasis on the study of behavior and performance in the workplace and other organizational settings, with a focus on the individual, teams, and the organization as a whole.
- Students in this dual degree program study the foundational theories and practices within the field of psychology, with a specific focus on the theories and practices within industrial organizational psychology.
- Students will complete both the undergraduate degree in psychology and graduate degree in psychology over the course of 5 years. Within that time, students will have an opportunity to complete an internship where they will engage in the appropriate application of I/O psychology knowledge, values, and skills.

The Baker College Bachelor of Psychology/Master of Industrial Organizational Psychology is a 5-year, dual degree program where students complete 120 credit hours toward their Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree and 36 credit hours toward the Master of Industrial Organizational Psychology degree. Fifteen of the credits taken during the fourth year of the BS in psychology consist of the first-year credits required for the MS in I/O psychology. Psychology courses include core psychological theory classes, including general psychology, abnormal psychology, social psychology, and specific IO-related courses: psychology of leadership, psychology of performance and motivation, organizational development, change and consultation.
