Peer Mentoring
Mission
As peer mentors, we are committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and empowering environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Through guidance, active listening, and shared experiences, we aim to build strong connections, promote academic growth, and encourage the success and well-being of every individual we serve.
Peer mentoring connects you with another student (mentor) who’s been through similar college experiences and can offer support, advice, and encouragement. It’s all about learning from someone who understands what you’re going through. Topics of discussion could include managing classes, finding campus resources, or just adjusting to college life. It’s a chance to build real connections, ask questions, and grow together.
The Peer Mentoring Program is a virtual program that meets weekly. Mentors and mentees will connect throughout the academic year and build on any skills or goals a mentee may have. Community building events will be hosted throughout the academic year.
