Muskegon, MI — Baker College’s Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program is once again partnering with the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District (MAISD) and Muskegon Luge & Adventure Sports Park to host Spring Universal Accessibility Day, Wednesday, June 11, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
This inclusive community event celebrates accessibility and adventure for individuals of all abilities. Participants will have the chance to explore adaptive summer activities such as the zipline, wheel luge, rock wall, and archery—all designed to promote inclusion, confidence, and fun.
“This is a great way for students to practice their soft skills and ease the anxiety of interacting with strangers, all while getting volunteer hours and supporting an awesome cause,” said Cassie Kregger, OTA Program Director at Baker College.
Volunteers from the community are invited to take part in this inclusive event, alongside Baker College students. Participation not only contributes to professional development but also reinforces the college’s commitment to being active within the local community and applying classroom instruction with hands-on learning.
The event is open to the public, and more details can be found at: msports.org/summer-open-house
