Royal Oak, MI — Baker College’s inaugural President’s Annual Report has earned national recognition from two of the most respected organizations in communications and higher education advancement, cementing the report’s impact as a defining milestone for the institution.
The report earned two recognitions from CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education), in their 2025 Circle of Excellence Awards: a Silver Award in the President’s Report and Annual Reports category, along with being named a winner in the Best of District V Awards. CASE reviewed more than 4,400 entries from 33 countries, making this recognition especially significant. This distinction places Baker College among the best in higher education communications. The District V Annual Conference will be hosted in Indianapolis, IN, April 27-29, 2026.
In addition, the report received an Honorable Mention in PR Daily’s 2025 Nonprofit Communications Awards, which recognize outstanding storytelling, mission-driven communication, and strategic impact across the nonprofit sector. Winners were honored at a ceremony at the Yale Club in New York City.
The inaugural President’s Report represents far more than a publication. It reflects a major institutional undertaking designed to elevate transparency, tell the Baker College story, and highlight student, faculty, and community impact across the state of Michigan and beyond.
“Producing an inaugural report of this scope required extraordinary care and collaboration,” said Kelley Suggs, Public Relations Manager. “These awards affirm not only the quality of our work, but the powerful story Baker College has to tell. Being involved in the development process not only led to national recognition but set a new standard for how Baker College shares its mission, its values, and its impact.”
The report was developed over many months through a collaborative process involving leadership, faculty, staff, students, and partners across all Baker College campuses. The creation of the report required: Extensive storytelling and research, cross-department collaboration, thoughtful design and data visualization, and a rigorous and highly detailed submission process for both PR Daily and CASE.
“The report is a vital communication tool for Baker College that demonstrates transparency to students, families, faculty, staff, and community partners. It also showcases the many accomplishments and contributions of Baker Bees, and captures the momentum of the college’s strategic direction under Dr. Jacqui Spicer’s leadership,” Suggs said.
