Baker College has once again been selected as one of the 2025 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® in West Michigan, an honor that shows the College’s ongoing commitment to innovative workplace practices, strategic human resource initiatives, and fostering a culture of engagement and development. All recognized companies are featured in the June edition of Crain’s Grand Rapids Business magazine and were presented with an award during a formal ceremony in Hudsonville, MI.
With more than 25 years of experience conducting the Best and Brightest competitions, the National Association for Business Resources (NABR) has identified numerous best Human Resource practices and provided benchmarking for companies that continue to be leaders in employment standards. The winning companies were assessed by an independent research firm, which reviewed several key measures relative to other nationally recognized winners. The categories applicants were scored on included: Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions; Creative Wellness, Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention; Education and Development; Recruitment and Selection; Achievement and Recognition; Work-Life Blend; Community Initiatives and Corporate Responsibility; and Leadership, Strategy and Company Performance.
“At Baker College, we are deeply committed to fostering a positive, supportive workplace where our employees feel valued and empowered,” said Deanna Starr, Director of Compensation and Benefits at Baker College. “Receiving this award again in 2025 reaffirms our dedication to creating an environment that promotes employee satisfaction, retention, and success—both professionally and personally.”
