Articulation Agreements
Clear pathways. Fewer lost credits. Faster graduation.
At Baker College, we’ve made it easier than ever to transfer your credits through a network of formal articulation agreements and participation in the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA). Whether you’re completing your associate degree or planning your next step, we’ll help you build on your progress and transition into a bachelor’s or master’s degree program with confidence.
What is an Articulation Agreement?
An articulation agreement is a formal partnership between Baker College and another institution that defines how specific courses or degree programs transfer. These agreements help ensure your credits apply directly toward your chosen major, saving you time and money.
Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA)
As a participant in the statewide Michigan Transfer Agreement, Baker College accepts general education credits from all participating Michigan community colleges. If your associate’s degree includes the MTA, your qualifying general education coursework will satisfy many of our core requirements, making for a seamless transfer.
- Completing the MTA helps satisfy general education credits
- Transfers eligible from all participating Michigan community colleges
- Reduces repeated coursework and shorten the time to completing a degree

In addition to statewide agreements, Baker College maintains institutional-level articulation agreements with select colleges that provide enhanced program alignment and support services for transfer students.
Our current institutional articulation partners include:
- Jackson College — Jackson, Michigan
- Muskegon Community College — Muskegon, Michigan
- Glen Oaks Community College (RN to BSN) — Centreville, Michigan

Students from these colleges benefit from preferred transfer pathways, additional advising support, and streamlined admission into aligned bachelor’s programs at Baker College.
