Ryan Kanneth, Automotive Services and Technology student at The Auto/Diesel Institute of Michigan
Get ready to witness the Baker Bees in action as they eagerly embrace the Gift of Life Michigan Campus Challenge, a spirited race to register organ and tissue donors. The challenge runs through February 29th, and the Baker College System is showcasing strength and competitiveness. Organ donation hits close to home in the Bee community, so throughout the challenge, stories will be shared from those in the Baker hive who have been positively impacted by organ donation.
Our first highlight is Ryan Kanneth, a student in Automotive Services and Technology (2024) at The Auto/Diesel Institute of Michigan who received a heart transplant as a newborn. “Having received a life-changing transplant, I have been able to live an almost fully healthy life, enabling me to pursue an education at ADI. Without this opportunity, my aspirations in the automotive field might not have been possible. Considering organ donation is extremely important because it is a powerful way to make a lasting impact on someone’s life, both while you’re living and after your time. It offers the chance to help countless individuals with conditions that may lack alternative treatments.” -Ryan Kanneth
