Baker College in the News
Baker College signed the Detroit Regional Talent Compact, an equity-driven initiative led by the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Detroit Drives Degrees program.
The Compact brings together stakeholders from business, philanthropy, government, K-12, and higher education to accomplish two goals: increase the Detroit region’s postsecondary attainment rate to 60% and reduce the racial equity gap by half by 2030.
“Baker College is pleased to join with other business and educational leaders as part of the Detroit Regional Talent Compact,” said Dr. Pete Karsten, President of Baker College’s Royal Oak campus. “We are committed to working towards the collective goals of improving postsecondary attainment rates and decreasing the equity racial gap in the Metro Detroit area.”
