Baker College was honored with recognition as one of 2024’s Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs (MPPWSA), a national accolade celebrating student affairs workplaces embodying vibrancy, diversity, supportiveness, and a commitment to staff work-life balance, professional development, and inclusive excellence.
Baker’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive student affairs community led to this award. Voula Erfourth, Vice President for Student Success and Engagement, and Dr. Eric Surge, Director of Student Success Operations represented Baker College at the ACPA24 Convention at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, IL, where the award was presented.
“We’re honored to be included with this esteemed group of institutions championing and living the work of diversity and inclusion,” Dr. Erfourth said.
The annual report, The Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs, was published in the 40th anniversary edition of Diverse: Issues In Higher Education, in collaboration with ACPA-College Student Educators International.
MPPWSA offers institutional leaders information that can be used to improve practices across their student affairs communities, while serving as a useful tool for employers, career services staff, and job-seekers across the country.
